Recientemente, el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos emitió una Orden Ejecutiva a través de la cual anuncia modificaciones a su Política Arancelaria Recíproca, consistente en la imposición de un arancel adicional a todas las importaciones procedentes de todos sus socios comerciales y que se estima comenzará a aplicarse desde el 7 de agosto de 2025.
Así las cosas, las tasas del arancel recíproco son las siguientes:

Como puede evidenciarse, Colombia no fue incluido dentro del listado de la Orden Ejecutiva del Gobierno estadounidense por lo que, mediante un Comunicado de Prensa, el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo ha indicado que los bienes se exportarán a dicho país con un arancel del 10% impuesto inicialmente en el mes de abril de 2025.
La medida adoptada representa una oportunidad para que se continúe fortaleciendo nuestra presencia en otros mercados con los que incluso tenemos Tratados de Libre Comercio vigentes como America Latina, Europa, Asia, y el Medio Oriente. Así mismo, teniendo en cuenta que Colombia tendría una tasa de Arancel Reciproco más baja frente a otros territorios, puede diversificar los productos que exporta a Estados Unidos y mejorar su competitividad y ventaja comparativa frente a otros países, robusteciendo la oferta de productos.
